I used stiff metal wire to lay out track curves with easements.

Cork roadbed and flex track being installed

All track joints are soldered with a 15W soldering iron and standard rosin core solder. The flex tracks in this corner of the layout are all from Shinohara. They are much stiffer than Atlas flex track.
